Madhyasth Darshan
A timely discovery for Human Beings — offering profound and detailed insight into the unchanging, permanent Reality.
The Philosophy
Madhyasth Darshan (also known as Saha-astitva-vad or Coexistentialism) was propounded by late Shri A. Nagraj (1920–2016) based on his original existential research. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the Universe, Consciousness, and Human Objectives.
It is a timely discovery which has been the pursuit of human beings since time immemorial — the insight into the unchanging, permanent Reality. Shri A. Nagraj created a structured framework and guidelines for education and study where any willing human being can achieve self-realization and understand the nature of Reality, without demanding any intellectual compromises or material renunciation.
Shri A. Nagraj
1920 – 2016
Propounder of Madhyasth Darshan
“Babaji” — as his students respectfully called him
The Propounder
Shri A. Nagraj, lovingly called Babaji by his students, dedicated his life to understanding and articulating the fundamental Reality of Existence. Through decades of original research and existential inquiry, he developed Madhyasth Darshan — a complete philosophy that addresses every dimension of human life and the universe.
Babaji emphasized Madhyasth Darshan as The Alternative to the two philosophies that have dominated and directed everyday affairs of the world since pre-historic times:
Religion / Spiritualism
Relies on mysticism or religious dogma. Has failed to resolve conflicts and exploitation across Human Society.
Science / Materialism
Focuses solely on the material aspects of life. Has failed to bring happiness to individual Human Beings.
Madhyasth Darshan transcends these limitations, showing a way to Human Beings and Human Society to achieve their true Objectives — Happiness, Prosperity, Fearlessness, and Co-Existence.
Existence is Co-Existence
The foundational truth of Madhyasth Darshan
Babaji defined Truth as “Co-Existence” and stated that the entire Existence is Co-Existence. The universe comprises four orders of nature, all existing in mutual harmony and interdependence:
Material Order
Padaarth Avastha
Soil, stones, metals, minerals — the physical foundation of existence
Pranic / Plant Order
Praana Avastha
Plant life — growth, reproduction, and the foundation of biological existence
Animal Order
Jeevan Avastha
Animal life — sensing, movement, and instinct-driven behavior
Human / Knowledge Order
Gyaan Avastha
Human beings — capable of understanding, consciousness and co-existence
Key Understandings
Central propositions of Madhyasth Darshan that guide SACH Foundation’s research and work.
The Human Being
A merged entity of a conscious Self (Jeevan) and a material body (Shareer). Understanding this integration is key to understanding Human Purpose.
Consciousness Levels
Humans currently operate at Animalistic Consciousness (Food, Sleep, Fear, Sex). The qualitative transformation to Human Consciousness is both possible and necessary.
Saha-astitva-vad
Coexistentialism — the understanding that all of existence operates in co-existence. Every unit exists in relationship with every other unit in space.
Universal Human Purpose
Happiness (Sukh), Prosperity (Samriddhi), Fearlessness (Abhay), and Co-Existence (Saha-astitva) — achievable by every human through right understanding.
Education for Realization
A structured framework where any willing human being can achieve self-realization without intellectual compromises or material renunciation.
Undivided Human Society
A society where all humans align with Human Consciousness, achieving common objectives through understanding rather than enforcement.
